Itinerary for Ribchester II
Saturday 09th July 2005
North West Forum Friends next trip will take place at Ribchester, Lancs.. This is the itinerary.
10.30am Meet up at the entrance to Ribchester CP. There is a small building containing the Public Conveniences.
From here there will be a small walking tour taking in the highlights that Ribchester has to offer, incl.the Almshouses, Stydd Chapel and the Roman Baths and Granaries.
12.30pm Lunch will be at either the White Bull or Black Bull public houses or if you prefer a picnic, on the Riverbank.
13.30 Onto St.Wilfred's Church and Ribchester Museum before ending on the field where The Legio Secunda Augusta will be going through their paces.
ALL TIMINGS ARE APPROX. AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE
The nearest rail station is Blackburn where you can get an hourly bus service to Ribchester.
