St.Charles RC Church, Rishton. (GR724300)

As on route 2 this was another brick built modernistic looking church to start the day. I'm beginning to detest these red leviathons. A plain and simple building with nothing of note worth a comment.

The Parish Church of Saint Peter & Saint Paul, Rishton. (GR724302)

Ah! A splendid looking Church situated right on the main road. The stonework of the large window just above the door caught my eye.

The Parish Church of St.Bartholomew, Great Harwood. (GR733327)

One of the oldest churches in the area and a splendid building at that. This is one that may warrant further visits.

Our Lady & St.Huberts Catholic Church, Great Harwood. (GR736323)

I was very surprised at this one. From certain angles it looks very staid, but, from the right place, it makes a great advert for this type of church.

All Saints Parish Church, Clayton-le-Moors. (GR745309)

Another of those 'safe' buildings. Yes it's a church, built to a common design, with a great side elevation that says all it needs to.

St.Mary's RC Church, Clayton-le-Moors. (GR749319)

Another brick one with a fire station tower.

St.James' Parish Church, Church Kirk. (GR741291)

I would hazard a guess that this will turn out to be one of the (if not THE) oldest churches on the map. Whilst the main part of the Church is obviously a rebuild the tower is significantly dated. I should think there'll be more to come on this like St.Bartholomews.

St.Andrews Parish Church, Church. (GR748286)

Situated amongst row upon row of terraced housing this is quite a community church, probably built with the housing stock. I like the top of the tower in a strange, eerie way.
