A nice little community church that looked out of place. The main reason for this was the lack of ground around the building, what you see at the front is all there was! The photo's had to be taken from a very narrow vantage point due to the layout of the roads and houses. | | ||||

I could have spent ages just looking at the wonderful octagonal steeple here. A very Victorian style church but a gem nonetheless. Worth the walk by itself. |  | ||||

Strictly speaking this is not on the map (about 100m off it) but I felt that it was worth including*. A typical village church, across from a pub, on the corner of the two main routes into the village and slightly elevated. Loved the side elevation here too. |  | ||||
Holy Trinity Parish Church, Hoghton. (GR615259) | ||||||

Obviously this church has very strong links with the Hoghton's of Hoghton Tower. This is one to go back and have a real good look around. Solidly built. |  | ||||
