Cannon Street Baptist Church, Accrington. (GR758285)

Set close between the surrounding buildings, giving restricted viewing access, this church seemed a typical 19th century build. Spire seemed pretty impressive.

St. James Church, Accrington. (GR760284)

The wide open space around this church is a stark comparison to the one above which is situated just round the corner. The Tower here looked good but there wasn't much character about the rest of the building.

Baxenden Parish Church, Baxenden. (GR772265)

I liked the steeple here, it definitely looked well. Nice building all round really with my only gripe being no board with a name on.

St. James the Great, Haslingden. (GR785236)

With an elevated position north of Haslingden town centre this was an imposing building. Although a standard shape etc it's uniqueness lies in it's location, it's name and the sheer number of access points!! I'll go back for another look at this one.

Parish Church of St. Thomas Musbury, Helmshore. (GR783212)

Trees. Trees. Trees. I dread to think what is visible of this church during the summer months. The photo's show possibly the best views available and the steeple deserves to be seen.

Edenfield Parish Church. (GR798198)

Georgian sprang to mind when I first set eyes on this and the 18thC datestone confirmed it. Think a return would be worthwhile as I'm sure there's more here than first apparent.

St. Paul, Ramsbottom. (GR792169)

In the heart of Ramsbottom lies this beauty. Everything about St. Paul is in proportion.

St.Andrews Church, Ramsbottom. (GR789162)

The tower and body of this church seem woefully out of scale to each other. Very comical to look at really and not a favourite.

Emmanuel Church, Holcombe. (GR783167)

First view here was the photo left and as it turned out this was the best angle. Again, this church was on a hillside so could be seen from miles around. Wonderful graveyard too.

Greenmount Church, Greenmount. (GR773147)

I liked this as soon as I saw it from the front. Nicely proportioned and a lovely colour too - something I haven't really noticed before.

Body & Fitness, Haslingden. (GR785234)

Found this by accident as it is no longer on the map so was pleasantly surprised.

Holden Antiques Centre, Holden Wood. (GR774225)

My next target after my surprise find turned out to be another antiques place. I'm beginning to wonder how many more will be like these two.
